1- Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for correct installation, weight and height limits.

2- Make sure all straps are tight and lie flat against the child's body with chest clip at armpit level.

3- Shoulder harness straps for rear-facing seat must be at or slightly below the child's shoulders.

4- Shoulder harness straps for forward-facing seat must be at or above the child's shoulders (almost like a race-car driver).

5- Avoid buying used car seats. If you buy a pre-owned car seat make sure you know its history and it's never been involved in collision, and hasn't expired.
