Classic meatball sandwiches just got a makeover! Using lighter chicken
meatballs, roasted vegetable sauce and whole grain pitas – your family
won’t miss a thing. 

Chicken Meatball Melts

 

4 servings

Preparation Time: 5 min

Cooking Time: 15 min

- Dempster’s® WholeGrains™ Pita Pockets 100% Whole Grain Wheat, halved

- 1 lb (500 g) frozen low-sodium chicken meatballs

- 2 cups (500 mL) roasted vegetable pasta sauce

- 1 cup (250 mL) baby spinach leaves

- 1 cup (250 mL) shredded mozzarella cheese

 

HEAT meatballs and sauce in a skillet over medium heat until sauce is bubbling and meatballs are heated through, about 15 minutes.

STUFF each pita half with spinach and cheese.

TOP with meatballs and sauce.

SERVING SUGGESTION

SERVE with your favourite raw veggies.
