Ohhhh cheese: ooey gooey cheese, melted so it pours onto the edges of the plate and slides in your fingers, is a child’s favourite, especially when it is creamy too! We had the opportunity to create some recipe magic with Kraft Shredded Cheese with a Touch of Philadelphia. We wanted to come up with some easy snack ideas that are great for toddlers and pre-schoolers - finger foods for those afternoons on the go, but that incorporated a loved ingredient. We bring you…..

Raisin Toast Crunch

Spread two slices of raisin bread with butter.

Place butter side down on a hot skillet or frying pan.

On top of one slice, add a mound of Kraft Shredded Mozza Cheese with a Touch of Philadelphia - no shredding required! So easy and quick!

Add one slice of green or red apple, core removed.

Top with more ooey gooey cheese.

Add sunflower seeds for the crunch.

Top with the other slice of bread, the buttered side up.

Brown until the cheese melts between each slice of bread.

Cut out with fun cookie cutter shapes.

Let cool slightly before serving.

Gooey Apple Slices

Core a tart green apple.

Add a mound of Kraft Shredded Mozza Cheese with a Touch of Philadelphia

Top with walnut pieces.

Microwave for twenty to thirty seconds or until cheese has melted.

Let cool slightly before serving.

The cheese will melt into the apple hole and bring the walnut with it! This is a melt you will remember!

Rice Cake Pizza Bites

For a healthier alternative to bread and crackers, try spreading a rice cake with pizza sauce and topping with Kraft Shredded Mozza Cheese with a Touch of Philadelphia. Add your favourite pizza toppings and microwave for twenty to thirty seconds until cheese has melted. Remember to let cool slightly before serving. This also makes a great packed lunch!

We enjoyed using Kraft Shredded Cheese with a Touch of Philadelphia in these snack recipes because the melt is truly gooey and creamy. We used Creamy Mozza, but you can try one of the other flavours - Creamy Herb & Garlic and Creamy Mexicana. For more info, and great recipes, visit www.kraftshreddedcheese.ca.
