With warmer weather finally here, it is great to get out with your little one(s) and enjoy the sunshine! One of my favourite outdoor activities with my children is a picnic. While browsing around the dollar store one day, I found adorable little bags, napkins, buckets, pinwheel fans, and bubbles. These fun little things inspired me to create this little ducky picnic… a perfect blend of celebration, food, fun and great weather.

Although this picnic looks a little time consuming, it really is not…it’s just the cute packaging that makes it look so. It is just a simple lunch of a sandwich, some fresh veggies and fruit…all packed up in a adorable little bag.

A mini-cupcake makes a perfect dessert for little hands. Add a candle and you have an adorable & relaxed birthday party.

Included in the bucket are a few things that can provide activities for after lunch…a pinwheel for wind experiments and a container of bubbles.

I think a picnic would make an exciting & simple birthday party for a very young child who loves to be outside, with little party guests each having their own fun in a bucket! Whether you picnic in your backyard, have a birthday party, or invite a few friends to meet you at a local park, your child(ren) are sure to remember a special picnic day!

Enjoy your week!
