This safety recall affects two models of baby monitors made by Tommee Tippee - the Tommee Tippee Monitor with Movement Sensor pads with unit number 1082s and 1094s.

Though no reports have been filed indicating injury, the company is worried that the long cord that attaches the product could become a strangulation hazard if pulled into the crib by your infant. According to Health Canada approximately 3,628 units have been sold in Canada since release in 2011.

Parents are advised to put the monitor out of the reach of baby and to contact the company for further instructions.

Please know that this kind of risk is true for many baby monitors that are in reach of young children. My little one once pulled his into his crib because it was within reach.
