Campbell Company of Canada and Longo’s are encouraging everyone to help support We Scare Hunger, Free The Children’s national campaign to mobilize youth around local hunger issues. We Scare Hunger encourages youth to collect non-perishable food for local food banks leading up to and on Halloween. To help lighten the load, this year kids can also collect labels from Campbell and Pepperidge Farm products. For every 10 labels collected, Campbell’s will donate one can to local food banks.

This year, We Scare Hunger’s official kick-off event is taking place on Sunday October 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at two Longo’s stores: one in Toronto and one in Oakville.  Both events will feature fun activities including a spooky Halloween photo backdrop, pumpkin decorating stations and a 12-foot display of the word HUNGER, made from more than 3,600 Campbell’s® soup cans. Guests can help ‘scare’ the hunger wall away by purchasing soup cans to support the local food bank.
