Currency Museum of the Bank of Canada
The Museum traces the history and evolution of money over the last 2,500 years. Seven galleries contain portions of the National Currency Collection, the most comprehensive collection of Canadian notes, tokens and coins in the world. Discover the amazing variety of objects used as mediums of exchange at various times and places, including shells, glass beads, fish hooks, teeth, cacao beans, and a three ton Yap Stone. Guided tours and School Programs available.

Hours: Summer: Monday to Saturday: 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Winter: Tuesday to Saturday: 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed Mondays from 1 October until 1 May)
