Botulism in Infants

Health Canada recently released an information paper on botulism in infants. This is an important read for all parents, as we find it isn't talked about as much as other infant concerns.

Infant botulism is a rare but serious illness that can affect children up to one year of age. It is caused by a bacteria that has been found in honey. To avoid exposure to this bacteria, parents are asked NOT to give honey to children under one year of age.
